Sakkie Smith is the Director of the firm, bringing 30 years of legal experience to clients across criminal law, family law, and general litigation. He holds a BProc degree from the University of the Free State and a Higher Diploma in Labour Law from North-West University.
Over the course of his career, Sakkie has been involved in several high-profile matters that attracted significant media attention. He is known for approaching complex legal challenges with honesty, integrity, sound judgement, and a steady focus on practical solutions.
Outside of practice, Sakkie enjoys the outdoors and wildlife. He has completed the Comrades Marathon and an Argus cycling tour—achievements that reflect his discipline and resilience.
Sakkie believes that no problem is worth losing sleep over: there is always a solution. His aim is to help every client feel calm, safe, and supported, with confidence in both their own abilities and the legal guidance they receive.

Away from the office, Izak has a background in professional rugby and remains passionate about the values of teamwork, commitment, and perseverance.
